Privacy Policy
This policy explains what TagGo accesses and collects, why we use it, how it is protected, and how you can delete it.
Effective: 16 July 2026 · Last updated: 16 July 2026
Who we are
TagGo is operated by BananaDoor (“we”, “us”, or “our”). For privacy questions or requests, email contact@bananadoor.com.
Data we access or collect
Account and profile
TagGo creates an install-based account without asking for an email address or password. We collect a random account and installation identifier, a one-way device-binding value, platform and app version, authentication records, display name, selected avatar, preferred mode, ratings, ranks, progress, unlocks and account-linked entitlements.
Gameplay and activity
We collect matchmaking and match records, roles, outcomes, scores, ELO changes, powerups, arena inputs and positions, disconnect or abandonment events, and other information needed to run, secure and balance matches.
Indoor motion
Indoor mode accesses your device motion sensors. It sends motion samples and timing needed to score flick direction, strength, rhythm, flow and perfect hits. The server stores the resulting gameplay scores and summaries.
Outdoor location and motion
Outdoor mode accesses precise foreground location and motion sensors while its movement phase is active. GPS coordinates and your route are processed on your device and are not sent to or stored by the TagGo server. We collect derived totals such as distance, top speed, direction changes, acceleration, sample counts, GPS accuracy and active-motion time so we can score the round and detect unusable submissions.
Technical and security data
Our systems may process IP address, request time, connection and error information, app version, platform, rate-limit events and security identifiers to operate the service, prevent abuse and diagnose failures. Authentication tokens are stored on supported devices using platform-protected storage and are stored on our server only in hashed form.
Purchases
Google Play processes payment information for Android purchases. We do not receive your full payment-card details. To provide and restore content, we may receive and retain an order or purchase token, product identifier, entitlement state, country and refund or cancellation status from Google Play.
How we use data
- create and secure your install-based account;
- match players, run games and synchronize arena state;
- calculate movement results, powerups, ELO, ranks and rewards;
- provide purchased or unlocked content;
- prevent cheating, fraud, abuse and service disruption;
- debug, maintain, measure and improve TagGo; and
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
When data is shared
Other players can see gameplay-facing information such as your display name, avatar, rank, rating, role, match actions and results. We may disclose data to hosting, infrastructure and technical service providers that process it for us under appropriate safeguards, and to Google Play for app distribution, purchases, refunds and platform security.
We do not sell personal data and do not use it for third-party advertising. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a business transfer subject to applicable safeguards.
Retention and deletion
We retain account, progress, entitlement and gameplay data while your account is active and as needed to operate and secure TagGo. Short-lived access tokens expire automatically; security records may be retained for a limited period where needed to prevent abuse.
Deleting your account removes the active profile, ratings, progress, account-linked content, installations, authentication records, matchmaking entries, match and gameplay records associated with that account. Aggregated or de-identified balance statistics that no longer identify you may remain. Where backup copies exist, deleted data is isolated from normal use and ages out through the backup cycle, normally within 30 days. We may retain narrowly limited information longer only when required for fraud prevention, disputes, accounting or law.
Deleting TagGo does not automatically cancel a Google Play subscription or erase transaction records Google must retain. Manage subscriptions in Google Play. See the account deletion page for both in-app and web request options.
Security
We use HTTPS for production connections, restricted access, hashed server-side credentials, platform-protected local credential storage, rate limiting and other organizational and technical safeguards. No system is perfectly secure, but we review and improve these protections as TagGo evolves.
Your choices and rights
You can edit your display name and avatar in the app, choose Indoor instead of granting location, stop an active sensor phase, or delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, object to, restrict, export or erase personal data. Contact us to exercise those rights; we may need to verify your request.
Children
TagGo is not directed to children under 13, or the higher minimum age required in their country. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below that age. A parent or guardian who believes a child provided data should contact us.
International processing and changes
Data may be processed in countries other than your own, with safeguards required by applicable law. We may update this policy as the app or law changes. We will update the date above and provide additional notice in the app when a change is material.
